'The Gibson County Theatre Company is happy to present “The Diary of Anne Frank,” by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett.

“The Diary of Anne Frank” will be performed at the Activities Building on the Gibson County Fairgrounds at 7:00pm on Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24. A matinee will be performed at 2:00pm on Sunday September 25. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each, and will be available starting September 6 at the Gibson County Tourism Depot and the Gibson County Chamber of Commerce. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

'As World War II engulfs Europe, Anne Frank, a young Jewish girl, goes into hiding with her parents and older sister in a cramped warehouse loft in Amsterdam. They are joined there by another family – a business associate of her father, his wife, and their teenage son. Soon, another refugee from the war joins them, bringing the total number of people in their "hiding place" to eight. Hidden from the outside world by a secret entrance, their only links to the outside world are two loyal employees of Mr. Frank who bring them supplies and news of the war. For the next two years they battle boredom, illness, hunger, fear, and each other as they attempt to find a way to peacefully coexist while awaiting their liberation from the Nazis.
